  1. “Positions Against Eurocentric Discourses in Translation: Turkish Translation History Before the Ottoman Period”, a research project conducted by our student Elifsu ŞEKER under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa KIRCA, has been granted support. This project aims to shed light on translation activities prior to the Ottoman period by moving beyond Eurocentric approaches to translation history.

  2. “Development of AI Tool Dependency Among Aspiring Translators: The Impact of AI on the Translation Skills of English Translation and Interpreting Students”, a research project supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa KIRCA and conducted by students Ali Kemal DÖŞEYEN, Deniz ÜÇBAŞ, and Ecrin BOSTANCI, has also been approved. This study will examine the frequency and tendency of English Translation and Interpreting students to use AI translation tools, and investigate how such usage affects their translation skills. The project aims to evaluate the impact of AI on translation education and aspiring translators, and to provide recommendations for educational approaches.
