Official Establishment of the “Çankaya Translation Community”
Thanks to the efforts of our students Ecrin Bostancı, Tunahan Ercan, Deniz Üçbaş, Eliz Süzen, Cem Ali Özdemir, Nehir İpek Kontaş, Övgü Hancıoğlu, Gökalp Uçkaç, Nil Deniz Karaoğlulları, and Esen Merve Toprak, the student community of our department, “Çankaya Translation Community,” has been officially established.
The community aims to bring together students interested in the field of translation, focusing on the contemporary importance of translation between English and Turkish, and supporting their academic and professional development. It will provide opportunities for translation practice, industry insights, interdisciplinary collaborations, and the creation of applied activities in translation. Additionally, the community plans to organize workshops, seminars, and events to assist students with career planning and to keep them informed about current scientific and industry developments in the field of translation.
